# Covalent — llms-full.txt > Build What's Next. Verified and structured data across 100+ chains, powering the next generation of onchain apps and agents. --- # Part 1 — Site Overview (Index) ## What is Covalent? Covalent provides verified, structured blockchain data infrastructure. It enables developers, traders, and AI agents to access onchain data and unlock value across 100+ blockchains. Founded in 2018 after winning the world's largest blockchain hackathon (ETHWaterloo 2017), Covalent is headquartered in Vancouver with team members in New York, Berlin, Dubai, and Bangalore. ### Headline Stats - Live since 2018 - 100+ chains supported - 1B+ API calls served ## The Problem Covalent Solves - Raw blockchain data is complex and fragmented across 100+ incompatible chains. - RPCs and subgraphs create scaling bottlenecks. - Covalent delivers structured onchain data at scale through a single unified API. ## Core Thesis: The New Moat in Software Is Data - AI is commoditizing the application layer. - Economic value is shifting toward infrastructure. - Structured data becomes the compounding moat. ## What Does Covalent Solve? Covalent structures and verifies raw blockchain data so apps run seamlessly and AI stays accurate. 1. **Unified onchain data across ecosystems** — One API, 100+ chains. Covalent normalizes fragmented blockchain data into a single unified schema across ecosystems. 2. **Built for real-time applications** — Sub-second indexing across every supported chain. Stream live blockchain state as it happens. Latency < 200ms, 99.99% uptime. 3. **Optimized for AI and agentic systems** — Structured, typed, deterministic data designed for LLMs and autonomous agents to consume reliably. ## Engineered From First Principles (Medallion Architecture) Rearchitecting the onchain data pipeline and infra stack. Three layers turn raw chain state into production-ready primitives. 1. **Bronze — Lossless, replayable raw data** — Every block, tx, log, and trace stored byte-for-byte. Reorg-safe lineage and replayable history. Enables reprocessing, forensics, and incident debugging. 2. **Silver — Decoded, normalized, priced** — ABI-decoded events, resolved token metadata, USD-priced amounts, and canonical objects. Produces DEX swaps, token transfers, stablecoin flows, and OHLCV candles. 3. **Gold — Unified surface, stable schemas** — Standardized schemas across 100+ chains, real-time + historical parity. Delivered via REST API, WebSocket streaming, Snowflake/BigQuery/S3 pipelines. ## $CXT Token $CXT secures Covalent's data infrastructure, enabling cryptoeconomic guarantees around the integrity of blockchain datasets powering the onchain economy. - The onchain economy is rapidly expanding — financial markets, assets, and applications are moving onchain, with economic activity reaching trillions of dollars. - AI agents will become the primary interface — autonomous agents will increasingly trade, analyze markets, and execute transactions. Their decisions are only as good as the data they rely on. - Verified data becomes critical infrastructure — trusted, structured blockchain datasets will power the next generation of AI-driven financial systems and onchain applications. ### $CXT Network Stats - CXT Staked: 278.7M - Operators: 23 (13 BSP, 10 BRP, 1 QRY) - Total Supply: 1B CXT - Circulating: 89.89% - Staked: 31.01% ## Products ### GoldRush API The multichain API powering wallets, dashboards, and AI agents. Ganesh is a keynote speaker, author, and Everest trekker. ### Levi Aul — Co-Founder & CTO, Covalent Levi built and sold a real-time messaging platform on Erlang and served as CTO of one of Canada's first Bitcoin exchanges before co-founding Covalent. Levi designed the data pipeline that structures 100B+ rows of data across 225+ blockchains — powering the Unified API. He is a prolific open-source contributor (90+ repos, 15 published packages, 52K+ downloads) and one of Hacker News's most respected voices with 55K+ karma over 18 years. ### Rest of the Team - Arjun Kalsy — Chief of Growth - Adrian Jonklaas — CFO & COO - Harish Raisinghani — Developer Relations & API Business Manager - Rodrigo Garcia — Head of Platform Engineering - Pranay Valson — Head of Protocol Engineering - Rohit Tandon — Head of Design ## Core Values We have **FOUR** core values: ### First Principles First principles are the fundamental concepts on which our theories, systems, and methods are based. At Covalent, we recognize that convention does not always equate with excellence. We strive to continually improve upon quality, velocity, and sharpening our focus to perfect our product to best-in-class. ### Ownership To take ownership is to assume the duty of acting with both agency and accountability. At Covalent, we empower our employees to own initiatives end-to-end and to accept both the responsibility of execution and the right to recognition of a project through to completion. ### Urgency Urgency represents an undertaking of importance, requiring swift action. At Covalent, urgency is more than executing in a timely fashion, it is a mindset. Valuing urgency is taking responsibility for proactively moving the strategic needle, and prioritizing objectives effectively. ### Relentless To be relentless is to act with determination and continued effort in the face of adversity. With decentralization comes unforeseen challenges and volatility, and it is important to keep the strategic goal in mind while navigating the inevitable obstacles that we will face while pioneering in a new space. --- ## Page: /ecosystem # Ecosystem ## Backers Backed by leading Web3 and infrastructure investors who believe in our mission to make blockchain data accessible.
