Arc Now Live on Covalent
What’s Live
Arc, launched by Circle, is a new EVM-compatible Layer-1 blockchain purpose-built for stablecoin-native finance. Designed for payments, FX, and institutional capital markets, Arc uses USDC as its native gas token, introducing predictable, dollar-denominated transaction fees and eliminating the operational overhead of volatile gas assets. Running on the high-performance Malachite BFT consensus engine, Arc targets ~3,000 transactions per second with deterministic finality in ~350ms.
With the public testnet live and mainnet beta planned for 2026, Arc is positioning itself as the settlement layer for global, stablecoin-denominated finance.
Arc Positions as a Stablecoin-Native Network
Unlike most blockchains retrofitted for enterprise use, Arc is designed from first principles around regulated digital dollars and real-world settlement.
Three pillars define its architecture:
Institutional Validator Set
Arc launches with a curated cohort of financial institutions running the network, reducing operational risk, improving reliability, and aligning the chain with the trust requirements of payments, FX, and tokenized assets. Most notably, the network is anchored by global banks, payment networks, asset managers, and market infrastructure partners working toward a progressively decentralized governance model.
Privacy With Accountability
Arc supports confidential transfers with selective view keys, enabling businesses to keep balance sheets, trade flows, and treasury activity private, while still meeting audit, KYC, and regulatory reporting obligations. This enables enterprises to protect sensitive payment or trading flows while preserving auditability for regulators and trusted counterparties.
USDC as Gas
Using USDC for all transaction fees makes Arc’s blockspace economically predictable. Fees become a line-item businesses can budget for, unlocking enterprise adoption for automated payments, cross-border settlement, and high-volume financial workflows.
Arc is built for 24/7 automated currency settlement, aiming to function as an ultra-fast, dollar-native financial rail rather than a general-purpose blockchain.
Available Today
Arc data is now live on GoldRush’s Foundational API, and by extension, SpeedRun. Institutional teams can instantly query every block, transaction, and contract on Arc to power payments analytics, treasury dashboards, FX and liquidity monitoring, or any application that needs verifiable visibility into a USDC-gas, stablecoin-native network. Whether you’re running real-time settlement and reconciliation flows, building privacy-aware audit and compliance systems, by deploying apps with SpeedRun or using GoldRush, everything you need is now available.
